Do You Also Need the DETS Course?
All first-time drivers under 18 in Florida are required to complete the Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course — a state-mandated 6-hour online program covering Florida traffic law, defensive driving, and the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
⚠️ The TLSAE course is no longer valid for teens under 18.
